4mm first stone what to expect

Im 26f and have my first stone. 4.16mm making its way from kidney to ureter, and a 3mm still chillin in my kidney. Pain has been on and off for about a week and a half and had blood in my urine on and off for 3 days (which is what prompted the dr visit)
Pain has been comparable to bad period cramps so far, with really only one night being particularly rough. I also have chronic nausea and chronic pain so ive had trouble deciphering what nausea and pain is the kidney stone vs my regular.
Im on flomax for 7 days and started that 2 days ago. Hydrating with water with lemon juice. Im so afraid of the horror stories saying it's worse than birth (been there and don't want to go through that pain again)
Is there a chance I just miraculously have a very mildly painful kidney stone? Is it only going to get worse? I hate the uncertainty and unknown of it all.

Stone Fighter #775F1FApr 23, 2026if you get a stone attack (when its stuck or moving) you will know, i usally head to ER when it does happend cause the pain can get like 11/10 (easy to pass out from the pain) , but if you can tolerate the pain with medication then thats the best option until you pass it

I also mistook it for a UTi that spread to kidney. Thankfully after hydrating it passed after 4 days and was relatively painless. They told me I had another stone in the other kidney which was 2mm. Stone Fighter #C16081Apr 23, 2026Thank you!! This is what im so scared of 😭 they run in the family, and these are my first ones. So far the worst its been is a bad period cramp or a stitch in my side. Im hoping catching it early and getting on flomax immediately helps it be less painful. I said in my post but I have chronic nausea and pain so hopefully that helps me deal with these new symptoms 😭 I wont hesitate to go into the ER of it gets too bad but definitely wanting to avoid it if possible.
