Finally free of all stents

Oops!
My stent removal was tomorrow but I accidentally hooked the string while finishing up in the bathroom.
Called the doctor and they asked me if I was comfortable removing it myself.
I asked what to do with it after, throw it in the trash? They said yeah, or if you want to keep it as a souvenir. Would I ever???
My left flank still hurts though. Is that normal?

Congratulations! It felt really odd to have that inside me and yes i had lots of intense flank pain after it was removed but doc told me thats usually rare. Most patients have less pain or very tolerable pain when its removed.
Well, personal experience is teaching me that I seem to be a magnet for rare medical things ๐๐๐๐. The pain is finally starting to subside, as long as I don't move. Moving/changing position upsets my insides, it also makes me nauseous. So we'll give it another day. Pulling it out was...a tactile experience for sure. Definitely not something I have the vocabulary to describe. And I am quite a verbose individual. ๐
I got kidney stones as well on the waiting list and I gotta go through that wow not looking good
