Flomax not helping

28 f - first time having a kidney stone.
Symptoms started about a week ago (back pain, blood in urine, urgency to pee) I was misdiagnosed with a UTI, when pain got worse & antibiotics did nothing, I went to the ER with horrible pain (4 days ago).. low and behold they found a mildly impacted 6mm stone in my ureter.
I’ve taken 3 doses of Flomax, after dinner between 6-7. I’ve found little relief but today I’m having no luck peeing AT ALL with constant pressure. Could my stone have gotten more stuck?
Any advice?

Stone Fighter #55983EMay 1, 2026Flowmax wont make pain go away. Keep taking it though. It helps reduce the inflammation. Also a 6mm stone is quite large and may take a while to pass.
Stone Fighter #267B42May 1, 2026Yeah, I’ve been taking some pain meds they gave me (500mg naproxen) which has helped some. They just told me the Flomax was supposed to “open” the ureter a bit and wasn’t sure if it was abnormal for it to still be blocked up
