Getting my stent with a string removed - anyone from the UK?

Hi all
I've just had a second stent put in under GA, and this one comes with a string. I have to go back to a urology clinic in 7 days to get it removed.
Has anyone in the UK had this done? Do they numb you at least?

Stone Fighter #CF1570May 8, 2026They ask you to take painkillers beforehand. Apparently it’s more of a weird sensation than actually painful.
