Nothing's worse than your period and kidney stones at once

I just can't do it man. I can get through obstructions, I can get through post-op PCNL complications. I can get through neph tubes, bags, catheters. I've got chronic stones and I've dealt with pain every day for years now.

There's just this special combo of severe period pain mixed with severe kidney stone pain that makes it absolutely debilitating. I don't know how I'm supposed to deal with this for another like 20 years. I feel like my body is literally shutting down and getting ready for death every month, lol.

Any advice? Or maybe someone can just relate? Ugh!!!

That sounds awful, I'm so sorry you're dealing with it.

Dude, every single one of my 8 stones has hit at the same time as my period. It fucking sucks. My first ever stone was at 16, and at the same time I was having the WORST menstrual cycle of my life. Cramps in my kidney, cramps from below. I had no clue what was going on. Finally I asked my mom to take me to the ER because I thought my period was killing me. Nope—just a 4mm stone on top of a period from hell.

Yes. It’s horrible. I got terrible flank pain a week ago and my period started right after it subsided (the horrible pain lasted about 5 hours). Then this past week I had major bladder pain/constant urgency/pain when peeing and flank pressure. My period finished and I peed out a stone this morning. Hallelujah!
