CT showed no stones, but the Ultrasound found 6 stones and a cyst.

Hey there stoners community π
I'm new around here, and only just recently got diagnosed with kidney stones after they did a US of my kidneys for a whole other reason. They found 6 stones 0.5cm 0.55 cm and and a whole lot of 0.4 cm stones bilaterally, along with a cyst. Here's the thing though, I also had a CT done around 7 months ago and was told it was "clear", no stones were found whatsoever. Then after my ultrasound a month ago my pcp recommended I go do the ct again. Just recieved my results and it clearly states there is no stones at all. So that's 2 cts saying no stones, and 1 ultrasound saying there is a whole bunch of them. but the pain is there and it's only mild. So I'm a lil lost while I wait for my urology appointment.
Has anyone else here dealt with the same kind of issues?

My urologist once told me that even when you can see stones on an ultrasound, they tend to look bigger than they really are. Maybe itβs picking up something else?
Itβs usually the other way around, unless itβs some rare type of stone that the ct just canβt pick up. Thatβs confusing
Yeah it is super confusing π
