Kidney stone that doesn't hurt?

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well!
I've had three kidney stones in the past 2 years, and about three days ago I was diagnosed with a new one after feeling intense back pressure and a little bit of pain. They found a small amount of blood in my urine, but I've barely felt this stone at all. I've been peeing a lot and moving around more than usual, but zero pain. Is it possible it's something else? Even my most recent tiny kidney stone caused tears, but this time I've hardly felt anything.
One more thing—I have no memory of ever peeing out any of my kidney stones, yet the ER scans no longer show them.

Stone Fighter #C16081May 9, 2026I often don't get any pain with kidney stones—the 4mm ones just go pop, feels like a bubble popping. I also don't usually show blood. Other times, I definitely know one is there. I get about 3-6 a year.
Stone Fighter #267B42May 9, 2026OK so, pain isn't always the giveaway with stones. My third one barely hurt either—just weird pressure and constantly needing to pee—but the CT confirmed it was there. Small stones can pass quietly while bigger ones wreck you. Feels backwards, but that's how it works. Three stones in two years is the real red flag though. That's not bad luck—that's your body telling you something's off with how you're eating or drinking, or both. Blood in your urine plus the stone means your urologist should...
