Has anyone ever needed lithotripsy but doesn't have anyone to stay with them?

So I've had kidney stones many times and had lithotripsy quite a few times and a uteroscopy that was absolutely horrific. I always lived near family and had them take me and drive me home so I guess the doctors had never realized no one stayed with me after it. I have moved to a state where I don't know anyone and need to have lithotripsy done for 2 stones I can't pass and had asked about using one of the medical transportation services to have them pick me up and get my pain meds and get home. Since that made them realize I have no one to stay with me at home they are saying that if I can't find someone to stay with me then I have to do uteroscopy and stay overnight in the hospital. I don't want to do uteroscopy as I had a horrible experience and I have 2 small dogs that are older and I have no one that can stay with them and can't and won't put them in a kennel place overnight. They are old and have never done anything like that and would not handle it well and I can't do that to them. Does anyone know a way around this where I can get them to let me do the lithotripsy and utilize the medical transportation services my primary doctor put in a referral for me to use?

Changes are slim but if you're in MN I would be willing to help 👋
Can you hire a petsitter? Where I live, there’s an excellent company that does walks and overnights. The overnights are pricey, but they’re worth it. They even give meds to the dogs if they need it. I get updates in their “diary” along with a few photos during the visit and a map of where they walked.
Ask if you can get a referral for home health. It would be just for 1 night and much cheaper than an overnight stay in the hospital.
