any tips for passing stones faster?

Hey, I’m dealing with my first stone right now, 3mm, and the doctor said it would pass. They gave me ketorolac or whatever and it works, except at night when my kidney starts to swell from the blockage. Right now my back pain is around 7/10 compared to when the stone first hit. Just wondering if anyone has tips for passing them faster, or how to tell where they are, or how to get my kidney to stop pulsating. I’m ready for this to be over, I haven’t slept more than 2 hours at a time in 5 days. Somebody please help.

Stone Fighter #E224F2May 12, 2026When I had this, I’d take my mattress and prop some stuff under it so it was basically slanted. That gave me some relief instead of lying flat in bed.
