I'm 24/F and i had my first kidney stone last weekend. My pain tolerance is pretty high. ive literally had cancer and it didnt even come close to this. I was in the shower and out of nowhere it felt like the wind got knocked right out of me. I dropped to my knees and told my mom i had to get to the hospital. i got in the car, and i guess i was breathing way too fast because i blacked out. i had no idea you could pass out from pain! Before the heavy pain meds and the very much needed pee, all i wanted to do was cry. i don’t know if this makes sense, but it hurt so bad the tears would not come out. it was like my body had gone into shock? i wish i could give a big hug to every one of you dealing with recurring kidney stones (if you like hugs) because that was hands down the worst pain i have ever felt holy shit

I'm a guy so obviously I'll never know what childbirth is like, but a few of my aunts and female friends who've had kidney stones say it's far worse. The worst pain of their entire lives. I know that's how it was for me.
So sorry about the pain. That feeling is one I know well. Been dealing with stones for years.
I vomited from how much it hurt
