Need help on what’s to come

Hello everyone.

It seems I joined the most unwanted club on the world.

I’m M39, and according to the CT scan is only a fairly small kidney stone or 2mm. It certainly doesn’t feel that way. It’s my fault, I rarely drink water. I will do better going forward.

I first got the stabbing feeling in my kidney, waking me up at 3am in the moment. After a short trip to the emergency room and painkillers, was told they suspected kidney stones, and after a small wait, the CT scan firmed it. First of April. Amazing day to have this happen. They’ve just given me Tamsulosin and told me to drink much water. I’ve inquired about EWSL but they want to be conservative and are only offering me to go in through my peehole and take it out if I really want to. I am not sure what’s conservative about that but I’m sure it has to do something with what instance covers or not. Either way, that is not something I am particularly thrilled to experience and thus have declined.

It’s now been roughly 10 days and has progressed from that sharp pain to pressure feeling in back, to pressure feeling in my flanks to now, somewhat of a burning feeling in my blatter and penis.

I have another CT scan on Monday to confirm its location, but, I wanted to know from the seasonal people here on what steps this usually takes, to understand where I am on this time-line wise.
