I'm really so over this. About a week ago I felt that familiar pain in my left flank area. I thought, no way, I just had stones taken care of 9 months ago. Figured it was a fluke...but now that pain has popped up several times over the past several days and I'm noticing the beginning of some urinary symptoms. What the fuck? This is such bullshit. This will be my fifth bout with kidney stones in 6 years. Honestly the pain and misery is so familiar to me that I'm more pissed off about having to pay my copay for the urologist and pay for the CT just to find out if it's something that will pass quickly on its own or if I'll need to pay even more to have it removed (which all but one previous procedure ended up sending me back to the ER afterward for blockages). I just dont understand why this is happening again. I'm pretty careful with my diet, I drink a ton of water every day including water with lemon, I dont hold my bladder excessively...why does this keep happening?!

Have you had your stones examined to better understand the cause? As far as I understand, this is possible and it may be your golden ticket to reducing them.

Ive had 3 stones in 27 months. Last one was Friday night. I passed it before heading to ER. Mine are hybrid stones of uric acid and calcium. I have been drinking lemon water for a year as instructed. No caffeine, no colas, no iced tea. Minimal red meat. Still made a stone. I feel just like you. So sick of this.

And they say the best prevention is to dring 2-3 liters of water on a day! Even if you are proon the make them, the water will prevent with this logic mechanism: the water will not let the urine getting to concentrated and the water will flush the microcrystals who can stick togheter to go bigger(a stone) So if you say you drink water daily, it I means this logic not works??? Weird

I could've written this. It's so annoying to say the least. There's this stuff a Urologist made called stone stopper on Amazon and people swear by it in the reviews. I'm going to start taking that because here I am also 9 months later with another. My saving grace is I worked with someone who is a sonographer so I'm able to always have her do a quick ultrasound for me to know if the size is passable or not. I feel your pain and it absolutely sucks.
