How am I supposed to drink all this water when I feel so nauseated??? How do y'all do it?

this is my first instance of kidney stones (my X-ray read said multiple 😰) and I am floored by this pain. The urgency to pee is killing me, enough so that I freaking doordashed some AZO after reading here that it could provide some relief. It hasn't given me any yet.

I have very little PTO so it's expected of me to go in to work but as it stands right now if this is what it's going to be like I don't think I can. I took some Aleve this morning that worked for all of an hour so I'm hoping after these 12 hours are up I can start on the 600mg of ibuprofen.

I'm just scared. I've never been in this much pain before. I'm sure this is all normal for y'all or you think I'm overreacting I don't know.

Sorry, I'm rambling...just, any advice, encouragement, something would be appreciated.....

Edit: I think I made it through. I had zofran for another reason that I keep forgetting exists that I took and that helped immensely. I have flomax that I'm on and I guess that made a world of difference for me. In retrospect I should have gone to the ER. I was barely hanging on, but now I know my limit for next time, if there is a next time.

Welcome to one of the worst clubs to be a member of! Severe pain is very typical of kidney stones especially when passing down your ureter. Please do not suffer make sure to ask your doctor for stronger pain meds, I currently have voltarol suppositories which work great but if the pain is too bad and not manageable with at home meds I go to ED for IV pain relief. I have a heat pad too which helps a lot or getting in a bath or shower as hot as you can stand it. I also have multiple bilate...

Flomax helped me after a week of severe pain trying to pass one. The stone passed within 24 hours of taking it. I would ask your dr. if they can prescribe it for you.
