Well… my first (!) kidney stone ever was back in 2024, when I was 20, and it was this 3cm beauty… (picture on the left) It got treated, leaving only a couple of tiny mm stones, and we hoped they'd pass on their own — which we thought they had!

**2 years later and it came back — only this time it's a whole centimeter taller and wider!** I'm so shocked because there were absolutely **NO** symptoms of this whole thing building back up there again!

My partner and I named it Bendi. Bendi will (hopefully) come out in September since I'm scheduled for PCNL surgery. My doctor was really happy because this one should be easy peasy to remove, I won't need anything besides the PCNL; it's sitting where it isn't bothering or hurting anything. My urine output is normal too, nothing's blocked.

Honestly amazed — this is the best I've felt in two years, and I never thought I'd get another one lol. I went in for a checkup yesterday, and that's how we found out about Bendi.

I'd already gone to another hospital for a checkup about two months ago, and they didn't find anything… Until….I went back to my original doctor, the one who treated the other stone too. No need to say, he was laughing his glasses off at those other doctors, because this one is really hard to miss.

Just wanted to get this off my rock (chest), because honestly it's a really weird experience. Hopefully I'll never have Mount Everest in my kidneys again!

It's so confusing how some doctors can't spot stones while others can
