Having my stent removed in the office with a cystoscopy!!??
- Strategy
- Patient journey
Tomorrow I'm getting two stents (no strings) taken out by cystoscopy right in the office. I begged them to put me fully under for it, but they insisted I stay awake. Real talk, how bad is it? Do they take both stents out at once, or one at a time? What's the best thing to take beforehand? I'm SO scared. I chickened out the first time and ended up with an extra two weeks of these damn things

Thinking about it is way worse than actually getting it done. It's surprisingly not painful, just a little unsettling. Having been through it, I'd definitely choose not to be put under for the procedure. Take it easy
that's reassuring, thank you :))
I’m so glad you asked this. I’m due to get mine out by the end of the week, and I’ve been so nervous! Here’s hoping we both come through it just fine.
