So last year around late June or early July 2025 I experienced my first kidney stone and as everyone says it’s the worst thing and pain imaginable

So after passing that and going on with my life I have encountered some very familiar and concerning signs starting around early April 2026

My back hurts at times and experiencing discomfort in my left part of my body around the stomach area

And at the time of writing this now experiencing slight nausea and dry heaves followed with diarrhea, so my question is are these signs of a stone or just my body being bad and weird

And if anyone experiences something like chronic stones like once a year or many times a year, what steps or routine things do you do to help mitigate the amount of stones you go through

Personal experience- 1. Have not had diarrhoea as such but i do get pressure to poop if bowels are not empty 2. Nauseas/vomits have usually started when there was intense pain and i could feel the stone is blocked Definitely visit a doctor though

I had diarrhea and back pain to the point I had to leave work. The next day, I thought I had more stomach upset, with a strong urge to poop, but nothing. The abdominal pain ramped up from there, but it still took me over an hour to realize it was a kidney stone. I was thinking appendicitis or fecal impaction. I eventually went to the ER for a CT scan & pain management. 5mm stone. I now think all that diarrhea and back pain were related.

In my experiences (had 8 stones so far). I have had the urge to poop but never diarrhea. Every stone ive has made me puke from pain. Drink lots of water even if it gets thrown up later.
