Awful pain once the stone was out

I am just curious whether anyone has had brutal pain after the stone already passed? About a week back I started peeing some blood and just brushed it off. Then over this past week I felt like I had to pee constantly. Friday my back started aching and I was like oh no here it comes again. By Saturday that urge to pee every 5 seconds went away, but that night the pain came right back like a stone was on its way out. Then Sunday night rolls around and I am in pain and getting spooked, so I finally head to the ER. They so a urine test and CT scan and no UTI but my ureters are badly inflamed and theres no stone apart from the one that's just been hanging out in my kidney for 2 years. So their theory is I passed a stone and it inflamed my ureters. So I go home and today (Monday) I am fine the whole day, then I twisted wrong on my couch and boom 8/10 pain. Has anyone gone through this? Inflamed ureters? I am hurting badly. Ugh.

It should almost definitely calm down, so going forward stay really well hydrated all day long (3 liters is an easy target to hit) and if you're able to, take ibuprofen (400mg up to three times a day) β€” it'll ease the pain and bring the inflammation down.
