First experience with a kidney stone. Pain is manageable but I feel like shit.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced these symptoms and what helps. I went to the ER Wednesday night with horrible pain in my abdomen and vomiting. They found a stone in my ureter. Prescribed 10 mg ketorlac (toradol) which I have been taking every 6 hours for pain.
The ketorlac helps a lot with the pain, but I have no appetite at all and just feel so weak and tired. Does anyone know if the loss of appetite is caused by the medication or the stone itself? I’m on day 3 of not being able to eat and just feeling drained and it’s really starting to get to me.

Stone Fighter #775F1FMay 3, 2026Been dealing with stones on and off for fifteen years. I feel like I'm the only person that gets no relief from toradol. Percocet is the only thing that helps me and I hate it because it's not as easy to obtain. I wish nsaids gave me relief. In my experience, yes stones make me feel super nauseated and takes away my appetite. Zofran helps a little if you can get it prescribed for nausea.
Stone Fighter #857783May 3, 2026I'm kind of in the same boat. Toradol definitely does a bit but if the pain is like 7+ I definitely need some kind of opioid. Plus if you're taking an opioid, I definitely recommend asking your Dr about zofran as well. It's a life saver.
Stone Fighter #28C522May 3, 2026I did get prescribed zofran but I’m not really dealing with nausea, just total lack of appetite. Not eating is making me feel weak and tired.
