Kidney Swelling

Here's a question, if you've experienced intermittent kidney swelling with a stent in, the kind the makes your abdomen distended. Outside of resting and maybe a heating pad, are there any other suggestions to deal with it?
My surgery is tomorrow,.I'm out of my pain med (don't worry, I've been drinking Miralax daily. I mix into apple juice, not sure if that's good or bad but it's the only way I can stomach it), and the Tylenol only goes so far in easing the discomfort.
. I've not been doing anything almost all month. My mother has been caring for the kids and helping me out significantly and I'm not driving (mostly because of pain and nausea and because most activity; showering, dressing, etc) causes swelling.
So, I was just curious if there was anything else I could be doing

The stent causes the kidney to drain but also creates some back-pressure and reflux, which causes the flank and abdominal discomfort you feel especially with activity. A few things that genuinely help beyond rest and heating pad: 1. Stay well hydrated - counterintuitive as it sounds, good flui...
