I've posted in this sub a few times over the last couple of weeks. I originally had a 5-6mm stone stuck at my UVJ for 3 weeks. Without even knowing it, I actually passed that stone the night before my surgery during another brutal round of pain. So obviously when they went in, they didn't find it and instead went into my kidney and cleared out the other 3-4 stones still up there so I wouldn't have trouble with them down the road. I get to pull my own stent out Thursday morning. I'm nervous, but also grateful I don't have to go into the office to get it removed — so if anyone has tips for doing it at home, please share!!!

I've pulled them out after every surgery. Going slow and steady really helps. It feels like it takes forever, but you'll be fine. You might get some minor discomfort, but nothing major. I also take some Tylenol about 30 min beforehand, which helps. :)

Take Tylenol about 30 mins before you think you'll be ready, drink lots of water, get in the shower with nice hot water, and once you're fully relaxed, pee and pull. It was way worse in my head than it actually was. Just felt strange, no pain at all.
