Stent removal / life after it

- Patient journey
M 33, had ureterolithotripsy on March 23rd to remove a 9mm stone from my left ureter. Doctors told me that at the time of the procedure, the stone had moved and it was almost in my bladder, so it had to be broken by laser. The night I spent at the hospital with the cateter was certainly one of the worst of my life!
Anyway, they said the procedure was without any complications, but they placed a stent that is to be removed two days from now (April 8th). In the first few days I kinda got "used to it", but as the days went by it started to bug me more. I feel there's like someone pinching my bladder from the inside, my uretra feels irritated and even my left testicle seems to be hurt a little. Apparently these symptoms are typical?
I'm anxiously waiting for the removal of the stent, even though they said it is with local anestesia only, which frightens me a little. But I just want to get rid of this thing and start to live a normal life again. A short walk feels so uncomfortable I can't do any social activities.
I wanted to know your experiences after the removal of the stent and how was the removal itself.

When I had mine removed I helps totally back to normal
I went through the same thing. The first attempt at surgery failed, so they have to leave the stent in for 3 weeks to open the entrance to my kidney. Thankfully the second attempt went well and I had the stent removed after a week. Meaning I was living with the thing for a full month. Not fun. My life was basically on hold, So good news: You will feel better almost immediately after it's out. There might be some residual discomfort/burning immediately afterward, but nothing like after surger...
It’s uncomfortable, but that’s it in my experience. I have had many stents. As for after removal, drink plenty of fluids it burns a little bit to start with but typically settles down. Occasionally fragments will come down that can cause some discomfort but these clear if you are drinking enough.
