Stone has not passed in years, am I going to need surgery??

Hey everyone! I keep getting these brutal pains in my side/back that make me puke (and by episodes i mean throwing up from the pain nonstop for 6-8 hours straight).
Back in 2022/2023 these random pains would hit me and ramp up fast until i was throwing up for hours, so i went to the ER and spent HOURS puking and in agony, so ill and weak that i literally ended up laying on the ER floor (gross, i know, but idc, i was in awful shape). That ER visit is where they diagnosed me with kidney stones.
Also worth noting - my biological dad has dealt with kidney stones before.
This part might sound unrelated but it ties in: i get the same brutal pains and the same intense puking spells whenever my period shows up. so in 2024 my doctors and i started chasing down whether I had endometriosis, and that got me thinking the kidney stones were a misdiagnosis. Partly because i NEVER once passed a single stone EVER.
Well, lets bring it up to this weekend. My "endo pains" started creeping up on me again, and normally i just put my heating pad on and it works magic... but this time i had the worse medical episode i think i have ever gone through. Brutal pains low on my right side/back, i was throwing up from 12am-9am, and i dragged my ass to urgent care only to get told once again that i have kidney stones.
I have got a urology appointment next week, but.... if it really turns out I have kidney stones, what are the odds they reccomend surgery to take them out? Mainly because 1. I havent managed to pass them in years😳 and 2. the brutal pains and the vomitting that comes with it.

Its going to depend on quite a few things. But honestly if your kidney stones are causing you that much pain, you probably need surgery, like, yesterday.
