In case anyone was curious what multiple stones clumped together creating a 7mmx7mm stone looks like on CT. Scheduled for ureteroscopy on June 12th. Terrified because I’ve never been put under before and it’s a huge fear of mine. My urologist said I can do everything to try and pass it before but it’s not likely. Anyone else pass a stone/s this big? Anyone want to share *positive* ureteroscopy stories? 🙃

Stone Fighter #CF1570May 6, 2026I had my first urtereroscopy for an obstructive 5mm in November. It was sheer misery for 2 weeks before surgery. The surgery was super easy. I was out for about a half hour, had nausea when I woke up (as I usually do), but was sent home a half hour later. I didn’t need a stent but had some light bladder irritation. The nightmare was over and I took it easy for a day or two. I decided to have the surgery again for non obstructive stones in the other kidney to avoid the absolute horror of obstr...
Marvin1989May 6, 2026Thank you for this! I think they said I’d need a stent as that’s just their normal procedure. I’m super nervous about being put under and the breathing tube. The stone is in mid to lower ureter.
Stone Fighter #CF1570May 6, 2026For sure! I worry about anesthesia too, but it’s so safe these days. If the stone is in the ureter you’ll be out for no time at all. Fingers crossed it passes naturally beforehand!
