9mm stone since Jan but new infection cancelled fragmentation

I've had a 9mm stone stuck in my upper ureter and mostly pain free (still exercising regualrly) since January with only two seperate nights of 8/10 pain. My first ESWL treatment was unsuccessful and the second was stopped as the stone was out of vision/behind gas or vertabrate. Had my Uretoscopic Fragmentation planned for today but they had to stop due to unforseen infection coming from kidney and put a stent in instead.

I now have a 6 week wait until another fragmentation is planned to finally get rid of it. It's weird because I have felt absolutely no pain for over a month now, but am actually more worried about stent problems/pain and constantly needing to urinate. Anyone else had similar or any advice? I count myself lucky that the stone has not been painful but the infection is new to me.
