Can 2mm cause 6-10 RBC?
- Strategy
- Patient journey
I’ve had a steady dipstick test done since November 2025 coming back positive for blood (1+) and red blood cells (6-10). I was pregnant so no intervention was done. Now not pregnant, CT scan came back with non-obstructing 2mm left renal stone. Was told there nothing I could do about it and it’s not the cause of my micro hematuria because the stone is too small and urologist wants to move forward with a cystoscopy. Can a 2mm really not cause bleeding? And I have absolutely started drinking at least 3 liters of water and taking stone breaker in hopes it will help move the stone along.
