So my ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy and stent placement got pushed from April to May because I caught a cold.. and now surgery day is basically here (tomorrow) and I am scared out of my mind. Part of me really wants to bail π but my kidney honestly needs this fresh start lol.. I was really holding out hope I could pass it myself. Maybe by some miracle it'll come out tonight π₯΄

If you already have a stent in, honestly you've done like 90% of the work already. They'll knock you out, you wake up, still got the stent. It'll burn the first time you pee, then it gets better over a couple days. Nothing even close to kidney stone pain. The worst part is getting the stent pulled, and after that you're home free. Just make sure you work with your urologist to figure out why your body keeps making stones. You got this.
You got this! Itβs gonna be a rough few days, but totally worth it in the end. Cheering you on!
I had my first ureteroscopy last week and I was terrified too, but I feel so much better now! You got this!
