No stones on CT

I (F64) have had chronic UTIS for about 8 years. Typically positive urinalysis followed by antibiotics. Recently a urogynocologist put me on 6 months daily macrobid and not had a UTI in about 9 months. But over the years, about a third of my urinalysis have come back negative, in spite of severe pain and blood in urine. So I got the idea that I probably have kidney stones. So I convinced my PCP to get some tests done and I just got word that the CT was clear. So what should be my next steps? Is it possible to have kidney stones one at a time that just pass through and leave no trace? Really frustrated and looking for suggestions, TIA.

Marvin1989May 6, 2026Your urologist should be pushing back on the UTI diagnosis if the CT is clear, because pain and blood without stones usually points to something else going on in that system.
