The urologist prescribed potassium citrate

I'm supposed to take it three times a day and with food.

Has anyone found if there is like...a minimim of how much food/calories to take it with?

I forgot to take my first evening dose and now it's bedtime and I hate eating anything too heavy at bedtime. (I get nauseated) I'm assuming a piece of bread isn't enough?

I take it everyday without food.

You don’t need much on your stomach, it’s a gastric irritant so a small snack would be fine

potassium citrate is typically taken with food or within 30 minutes of eating, but the main reason is to reduce GI side effects like nausea and stomach upset, not because food is strictly required for it to work. if you forgot your evening dose and it is late: \- if you have something light available like yogurt, fruit or even a glass of milk, take it with that \- a piece of bread alone may be too little and could cause nausea in some people \- if nothing is available, you can skip that...
