The dreaded stent, and a question for the ladies

Hey everyone,

I'm recently going through my first bout with kidney stones. I had PCNL surgery a little over 3 weeks ago, and while the first couple of days were rough, I was feeling much better—until last week. Not sure if I did something to mess with the stent or what, but I've been having Issues this past week, and I'm just wondering if other women have felt the same thing.

I've got this feeling of heaviness that feels like it's in my vagina, along with a kind of stinging/burning pain. I'm assuming my urethra is irritated and it's referred pain/sensation, but I just wanted to see if other women have had that experience too. My bladder also feels irritated, but I was expecting that more, so this other feeling surprised me. It hurts to stand/walk, but feels okay when I'm sitting or lying down. I've tried taking Azo and oxybutynin (sp?), but neither one did anything. It's not terribly painful, just pretty uncomfortable.

I'd love to hear from any women who've had this same feeling, and whether anything helped. I've got this stent for 5 more weeks, so I'm hoping it isn't going to feel like this the whole time :/
