First stone (5.2mm)

- Patient journey
Hi all. I had an ultrasound and then CT scan and I have a kidney stone that’s 5.2mm in the **middle calyx of** my kidney. I’ve never had a kidney stone before. My only symptoms were constant/frequent urge to pee with little pee. No severe pain, no stinging, blood or anything else. First we thought it was a UTI I was being treated for it but labs all were coming back negative. Finally they found the stone. I’m both scared and relieved…
I’m scared since it took long to find this 1.5 months. I’ve been having these urges since middle of march. And my first urologist did not find the stone… only when I switched to a new doctor they did.
I don’t have much pain besides irritation and very rarely spasms here and there. I’m drinking a lot of water trying to pass it but nothing happens… CT didn’t show anything else either… although I guess the doc has some doubts and is going to check the CT himself.
Could this stone cause the frequent urges or is it something else?
