Strategy: Patient journey

So I apparently have a 5.3mm stone in my kidney, yesterday it passed throughy ureter down to my bladder which caused me excruciating pain (had to be put on painkillers), now it's in my bladder from the feels of it, but I'm scared if it'll hurt while passing through my urethra, can anyone share their experience?

As a veteran of 50+ stones, I can tell you the final leg of the stone’s journey is not that bad. You’ll maybe get a quick “sting” of pain (it is a sharp object after all), and you may be a bit sore afterwards. You didn’t mention if you were male or female, but males obviously have a little more tissue between the bladder and the outside world. Stay hydrated. Apple cider vinegar mixed with water helps. And baking soda mixed with water helps too

Getting it out of the urethra is the last home stretch - you’ll be pain free, until it moves. When it moves, it’s a flash of extreme pain but it lasts for like one second each time, so it barely registers. Then it’ll be out within an hour. That’s the best part of getting it into the urethra - it can’t really stay there, so it’ll be out very shortly. For me, the travel down the uretors and then it bouncing around in the bladder are way worse, because that can last for weeks, so I get so happy ...
