This was my (27F) first time having a kidney stone. Had horrible flank pain about a week ago around 5 am out of no where and had no idea what was going on. Took some ibuprofen throughout the day to manage it but 9 pm I was in the most excruciating pain of my life. I took more ibuprofen and Tylenol and even that wasn’t helping, I couldn’t sit still and was literally rocking back and forth and kicking my legs like a crazy person. Around 1 am I gave in and couldn’t take it anymore and I went to the ER and was in there balling my eyes out. Worst dang pain ever. They took good care of me (thank goodness 😭) and they gave me the CT scan and was like yeah you got a 2 mm kidney stone!

All this 2 days before I’m flying to LA and going to Disney before my first time. 😐 I still went and had good time, the meds were enough to keep me feeling alright once it passed to my bladder.

BUT anywho, just passed it a little bit ago and I’m f\*cking shocked that this tiny thing caused me this much pain. Wow just wow. Sorry to carry on but definitely had to vent about my traumatic experience to people who understand. Should I take it in to get it tested?

Yeah them little suckers pack some pain punches. I’ve had 4 of them so far and 2 of them needed stents. Hopefully you won’t need to go through that. That pain level will put you in a new league of pain tolerance in the end. There is nothing like it. Glad you’re good to go now.. good luck

Was it laser lithotripsy? I am also considering doing for the two stones but i am extremely scared
